A good sized crowd of journalists and locals arrived on November 30th at the official re-opening of hospital Helicopteros Sanitarios in Puerto Banus.
The guest of honor was the mayor of Marbella who formally declared the hospital opened again after hearing an inspiring speech from the founder of the María José Cañete group who explained a little about how he came to establish health helicopters and how proud he was when his dream of finally opening the hospital was achieved.
He went on to congratulate and thank the doctors, nurses and paramedics who malways work hard to ensure that members receive the best treatment in the area whether they are home visits, ambulance services or hospital care.
The mayor replied that he was delighted to be invited to the inauguration and how pleased he was that this impressive hospital had been built in this fine area of Marbella.
He then congratulated María José Cañete and her staff and colleagues for everything that had been accomplished in a little more than 25 years since the creation of a service to help the victims of accidents in the then dangerous section of the N340 motorway. It works between Marbella and Malaga.
